The Rotary Club of Madison’s annual Miles Montgomery Golf Tournament will be held at Sunset Landing golf course on Friday April 27th, 2012 @ 8:00 AM. Please make plans to join us. Email madisonrotary@gmail.com for additional details.
2011-2012 Madison City Veteran of the Year
The Madison Rotary Club is pleased to sponsor the Madison City Veteran of the Year (VOY) program. To qualify for VOY, candidates, at a minimum, must (1) meet the definition of a “Veteran” as defined by the Alabama state code § 31-5-1, as listed in the document below AND (2) have been HONORABLY discharged from service. Nomination information provided in this application should place emphasis on community service contributions during the last 12 months (September 2010 to September 2011) and may optionally include a summary of contributions made over the 2 prior years. Once chosen, the Veteran of the Year will be asked to provide a copy of a DD214 for confirmation of service and honorable discharge. Instructions: Applicants (or nominators) should fill in the applicable entries in the application (see link below). DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION IS: Friday, 21 October 2011 Sunday, 23 October 2011. Award will be presented the week of Veterans Day on Thursday. November 10 at our regular breakfast meeting time and place.
