Madison Employees of the Year

The Rotary Club of Madison honored three Madison city employees at the Madison City Council meeting on Monday, May 11th. Debbie Overcash, chair of our club’s Community Recognition Committee, coordinated the 9th annual event where Brandon Burgess was named Fire Fighter of the Year, Russell Owens was recognized as Police Officer of the Year, and Kim Lindsey was honored as City Employee of the Year. Mayor Paul Finley, Council President Tommy Overcash, and Madison Rotary President Alex Luttrell congratulated the winners and presented each with a plaque and $200 as Debbie read excerpts from their nomination applications. The winners’ names will also appear on perpetual plaques displayed in City Hall. Congratulations to the winners and “Thank You” to all Madison City employees who do a great job in providing services to our citizens.
